Thoughtful design. Honest construction.
I'm Damon Rad — a civil engineer, a licensed general building contractor, and the person you'll actually work with at Radessen. I started this firm to build homes and spaces the way I'd want my own built: designed with care, priced honestly, and run with the discipline of a project ten times the size.
Most of my career has been spent on work most remodelers never touch — research laboratories, healthcare facilities, university buildings, and corporate campuses, many of them nine-figure projects. I've seen that work from both sides: as a contractor, and more recently as the owner's representative — the person a client hires to review the budget, scrutinize every change order, and make sure they get what they actually paid for.
That second role is the one that shaped how I run Radessen. I've spent years on the client's side of the table, protecting owners from vague scopes, padded invoices, and the "we'll sort out the cost later" surprises that make building so stressful. So when you hire Radessen, you get a contractor who already thinks like the person signing the checks — clear scope, real numbers, and no games.
The engineering background matters too. It means problems get caught on paper, before they turn into expensive surprises in the field. And whether your project is a kitchen remodel, a second-story addition, or a ground-up build, it's managed with the same tools and controls I bring to institutional work: detailed scheduling, constructability review, and documentation you can actually follow.
I take on a limited number of residential and light-commercial projects at a time. The kind of work I care about — thoughtful, well-built, honestly delivered — doesn't come from rushing. If that's the project you're planning, I'd like to hear about it.
